This policy describes how Mission Nazareth (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information you provide when using our website, including the prayer request feature.

1. Information we collect

Prayer requests. When you submit a prayer request we collect the text of your request, and optionally your name and email address if you choose to provide them. Submissions may be made anonymously.

Technical information. We record your IP address solely to prevent automated abuse of our submission form. This information is not linked to your prayer request beyond that purpose.

2. How we use your information

  • ✦Prayer requests are shared only with our pastoral leadership team. They are never posted publicly on our website or shared with third parties.
  • ✦If you provided an email address, a pastor may reach out to follow up or offer support. We will not add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent.
  • ✦IP addresses are used solely for rate-limiting and spam prevention and are not used for any other purpose.

3. Data retention

Prayer request submissions are retained for up to 90 days, after which they are permanently deleted from our systems. IP addresses logged for spam prevention are retained for the same period.

4. Data storage and security

Submissions are stored in Google Cloud Firestore, a secure cloud database. Access is restricted to authorised Mission Nazareth personnel only. We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, but no system is completely secure.

5. Your rights

You may request that we delete your submission at any time by contacting us at contact@missionnazareth.org. Please include enough detail to identify your submission (e.g., approximate date and any name you provided). We will process your request within 30 days.

6. Third-party services

Our website is hosted on Google Cloud and may include links to third-party donation platforms. This policy does not cover information you submit on those external sites — please review their privacy policies separately.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
